There are wide range of services to choose from like NEWS, LOVE, TRAVEL, HOROSCOPE, JOKES, QUIZ etc. You only pay one/two rupees(Depending on your operator) once for sending the START sms.All daily incoming SMS thereafter are Free. The service is available only for the Indian residents.For all services, you can unsubscribe/opt out any time. So this service is almost free of cost. One can subscribe for more that one updates from a single mobile number.

Then where is the catch ??? How are they earning revenues ???
At the end of the each message there is a advertisement and that is the sole way of revenue generation.Unlike TV commercial breaks which are annoying( in the middle of the programs), the add is at the end of the message, so it is not annoying as well.

I can say without any doubt that Indian advertisement agencies have some of the most creative people around. Indian TV ad world has given a plethora of memorable advertisements from Doordarshan time till todays multi-channel world.

Recently virgin mobile has been launched in India.To enter the highly competitive telecom market they have come up with a USP in which Incoming is Free and customers Get Paid to Receive Calls (Get 10 paise for every 60 seconds incoming received from any phone).Their slogan is Think Hatke. Like their plans their advertisements are also unique funny yet passes the message so efficiently.

Hostel Nite

It was the best hostel nite,I had in my last four years of stay at IIT-M. I was high. I shouted like a mad. I cried and I laughed. I danced like nobody's watching. I enjoyed like heaven on earth.Indeed, It was one of the memorable nite I had in my life.Thanks to all my juniors who had arranged for such a unforgettable farewell to us.
Is it the ending or the new beginning ?

Surgery vs Medicine

Almost all of us had found it very difficult when we chose our career directions in our childhood. It is just after secondary examination itself when one need to decide which field of education he wants to stick with. It is very hard and early decision to make as there are so many options to choose from and we are naive to most of them.Because of the same we sometime want to know about the stuff we think we are missing.

Broadcast media is the best way to get yourself acquainted to the things you wanted to do or learn in your life but couldnt get a chance for it.Lately I was watching two medico TV series which are Grey's Anatomy and House MD. All though both series are related to the medial science yet they both are totally different. As the title suggest the latter one is on the life of the physicians(Medicine) and the former one is on the tough life of the surgical interns.

Grey's Anatomy is about the life of a ups and downs in the professional and personal life of the five surgical interns at Seattle Grace hospital. It has bits of life lessons to learn every so often at the same it has very nicely screened what it fell to hold someones life in ones hand.

Latter one, House which is of entirely different genre is about Dr. House, an ill-tempered, disabled yet brilliant physician.He along with his team of five other young doctors solves exceptionally complex and subtle cases at the hospital using his extra-ordinary capability to thinking out of the box.He often says 'Everybody lies' but symptoms never lie.
